Cheap Eye Make-up Remover

Rather than splurging on an eye make-up remover from your local make-up counter or mass merchandiser, why not use a product that you already have at home or an alternative that you can purchase for less than $2?
Vaseline/Petroleum Jelly - A great multi-purpose product. Works great for removing eye make-up, even mascara!! It can be a little on the heavy side, because it’s a gel, so use it sparingly. Buy it at your local store for under $2!! A large tub has last me several years!!
Baby Shampoo - A cheap buy as well…you can get it under $2 for generic baby shampoo. It’s easy on the eyes, because it won’t bring tears.
Lotion - Surprisingly, body lotion actually does the job of removing eye make-up. I came across this when I didn’t have anything else to use…I’ve personally used non-scented lotions such as lubriderm. Scented lotions might irritate your eyes.I’ve personally used all these products used and they work

Desert Essence 100% Tea Tree Oil Review

I’ve heard rave reviews on Desert Essence Tea Tree Products from various beauty forums and decided to give it a try! These products can be found at Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s. I actually prefer Trader Joe’s, because it’s a tad cheaper, on the other hand, Whole Foods has a better selection.

Rating 4 out of 5
Description from their website: Tea Tree oil is known for its natural antiseptic qualities. It is used to help minor skin irritations such as cuts, burns, insect bites and blemishes.
Price: $5 from Trader Joe’s
REVIEW: Overall, a great multi-purpose product. Don’t put it full strength on your skin-it’s too harsh!! It works great on spot treatment on pimples - dries them out - apply with moist cottonball moist with water first. It also doubles as a dandruff fighter too! I used a medicine dropper and mixed a drop of tea tree oil with my daily shampoo. It works better than head and shoulders!! My only gripe is the alcohol “hippie” smell, but it goes away after awhile.

Welcome to my blog!

This is my first blog, so I’m a little excited about that. Anyways, I decided to create this blog that is dedicated to beauty-makeup/skin and shopping on a budget. I really do believe in inexpensive-high quality beauty products, you just have to find the right products that work best for you. So here you will find me either rant or rave on new products. Expensive makeup doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s better or of higher quality. Here’s a little info on me:

Age: 20’s
Ethnicity: Asian
Skin Type: Acne-prone, extremely sensitive combination skin
Foundation colors: NC 35/40, Everyday Minerals-Buttered Tan
Acne Regime: Morning - Cetaphil Face Wash, Clindamycin Evening - Oil of Olay Foaming Face Wash, tretinoin 0.025%

Any tips, comments, suggestions to make this a better site are welcome!!
