LA Color Eyeshadow - 5 Color Metallics in Wines & Roses

I read reviews on these eyeshadows and decided to give these LA Colors eyeshadow palettes a try. I picked these up at my local mall, an Claire’s look-a-like store that also sells NYX. I was actually debating between this $2.99 palette or NYX single eyeshadow. Anyways, I decided to go with the Wines & Roses palette - consists of mauve to purple colors.

The top picture is a swatch under artificial light. My camera isn’t that great, so the colors are actually a little brighter and more metallic than shown. From its packaging, the colors look very shimmery/metallic and kind of creamy-but its actually powder. Anyways, to make the long story short, this is a pretty good eyeshadow for $2.99. It isn’t as shimmery as how it looks like in the palette, and the lightest color eyeshadow-the white one-was a little grainy in texture. The other colors work great though. It’s not comparable to MAC or NYX. Overall, a great find for the price you pay for!

Silk Naturals - Whipped Vanilla Body Scrub

So I received this sample body scrub with my Silk Naturals Sample order. It was nice of them to throw this in, because I don’t believe they are selling this yet. Anyways, long story short, I tried this in the shower the other night and I thought it was mediocre.

The texture of the scrub is not grainy, how you would imagine most scrubs, but it actually felt like a cream with little exfoliation beads in it. The scent is a light maple smell, not overpowering. I’m not a fan of strong smells of bath products of any kind, so this made me happy. After my shower, my skin felt the same as if I didn’t use the scrub. Maybe because it’s wintertime and my skin is drier. Overall, mediocre. It might be good for those with normal skin or for use in the spring when it’s less dry.

Sonicare Flexcare Electric Toothbrush Review

This is an expensive toothbrush retailing at $179.99, but I got it for FREE! How so? Because, I’m a buzzagent member. If you go to buzzagent.com, you can sign up as a member and you try out new products before they come out. Luckily, I got into this campaign, because I’m anal about my teeth cleanliness.

Aside from that, this tooth brush works great!! I’ve always used a manual tooth brush, but I can definitely tell the difference after I brush my teeth. What’s cool is that there are two modes you can brush your teeth, on the go mode - which is a minute and max mode- which is 2 minutes. I must be brushing my teeth to hard, because there are times where the brush head comes off.

It also comes with a cool charger and UV sanitizer to clean your brush head! This is really great for those worried about germies~I would definitely get this, if I could get if for less!!

NYX Jumbo Eyeshadow Pencil in Cottage Cheese

(Swatch: Cottage Cheese)
-taken with flash

So I bought this jumbo eyeshadow pencil at my small accessory store, looks like a knock-off of Claire’s or the Icing for $1.99. Anyways, I heard that its similar to MAC’s shadestick, but a fraction of the cost.

Cottage cheese is pearl white frost shadow. I used it as a base for eyeshadows. I do admit that it has the same texture as shadestick, but my eyeshadow still creases after a couple hours…=( Maybe it will work better as a shadow, then base. But for $2, what can you expect?? Would I buy it again? Probably not…

Definitely, their powder eye shadows are so much better….
