Spring/Summer Trend 08 – Mellow Yellow
I was window shopping this weekend and noticed a lot of stores with yellow clothes. I looked online and noticed that Yellow is the new color for Summer/Spring. I do like the color, because it’s so cheerful and summery for the approaching warmer months. I’m already yellow as it is…so I have to be careful what shade of yellow to wear.
I created this yellow themed set at Polyvore…I’m really loving their site…
I can see myself wearing a dark yellow, like a mustard yellow…tops above. I love the cardigan, dress and tank. I can’t imagine myself wearing a bright, lemon yellow, it will just make me look akward and it a little too bold for me. A pale yellow might not match with my skin also, might wash me out. I would wear clothes with yellow infused with the clothes, but not sure if I would wear yellow by itself. I don’t know about yellow accessories though, because I admit that it can look kinda cheap looking.

I love that yellow dog polo, ahh I want it for my kitty! I have been sporting a big yellow bag and I love it! My honey on the other hand says it’s ridiculous lol

Too funny! I am “yellow” also and I NEVER wear the color…I always say it makes me look kinda green, and that is so not flattering…

I find mineral concealer for the under eye doesn’t give me the coverage I want. With creams (even some liquids) is better for me. Mineral concealer is good for other flaws tho, just not the under eye :/

those wedges are too cute!! i wish i can wear them but i’ll look like a giant. and yeah i thought girlicious’ stupid shit video was soooo dumb! very unclassy.

all those mellow yellow looks wonderful!!! I am on for some lovely yellos, blues and pinks!!! It’s summer! Though I’m asian “yellow” i always wear yellow hehehe I guess it depends on the “type of yellow” Tammy ..i hope you give it a try

i’ve always been fairly boring with colours
i tend to stick to the basic black, gray or white – but last summer i decided to break out of my shell and try something new, which included wearing yellow! i probably own less than 4 yellow items in my entire wardrobe.. but hey, baby steps

cheeeezie-Yep, it’s all about baby steps. Try getting an unexpected color for clothes and it might convert you…=). I remember when I was younger I had a blue stage and that’s the only color I would wear.

hmm.. i wish i could get my baby to wear something like that but as it is he bites on everything he wears and it get icky wet..

I’ve only tried the Hyaluronic Eye Cream from Mario Badescu btw, since I’m using Garden of Wisdom and don’t wanna mess with it for now hehe it’s pretty good, no complaints so far.
so what are you getting from them?

i looove, loooove, L-U-V wearing yellow. i’m a darky asian with no yellow undertones, so i’m not shy to wear tons of yellow. :0)

I love wearing yellow! I have yellow shirts, yellow dresses and yellow shoes (of course I don’t wear em all at once…). I find if you like a colour to just wear it. It’s only clothes. You might as well have fun with it.
