The Secret to Great Skin: The Japanese Skincare Revolution
Chizu Saeki, Japan’s most popular beauty consultant reveals her secretes to great skin in her newest book - The Japanese Skincare Revolution. This book is considered the Japanese women’s skincare bible (her books have sold more than three million copies in Japan). In the book, Saeki teaches simple, low-cost and easy techniques that will help women of all ages and backgrounds to achieve glowing and youthful skin. Saeki believes that women don’t need to invest in expensive cosmetics and facial treatments to look young and beautiful. Isn’t that great? Especially in these tough times, who wants to fork up money to purchase expensive treatments?
What I love about the book is that Saeki doesn’t advocate products to purchase, but rather use everyday products that we currently have.
A Few Highlights of the book:
- Beauty Tips - Throughout the book, Saeki gives advice on diagnosing your skin, proper care for your skin and inexpensive techniques that actually work! Here are a couple tips:
- Don’t invest money into your skin, instead, invest care and attention
- At least one day a week lay off cosmetics - you’ll be doing your skin a favor
- Your hands are the ultimate beauty tool
- Skin Massage Techniques - Saeki shows us a step by step guide to various skin massage techniques that can help improve your skin and combat anti-aging. I’ve tried a couple techniques myself, but it is too early to see results.
- 3-minute Lotion Mask - Cotton, Water, and your own facial lotion is all you need. Forget buying expensive serums. Saeki shows us how this inexpensive, yet effective lotion mask can be.
For those interested in this book, it retails at $19.99 and is sold at Amazon and fine bookstores.
