AXE Anti-Dandruff Shampoo: Reviewed by a REAL Guy!
At AXE Hair, they are on a mission to help guys get “girl- approved hair” with their new line-up of shampoos and styling products. Let’s face it – bad hair on guys can be pretty scary. Now, with AXE Hair products, guys can get great hair!
For the first time ever, Fabuless Beauty is having a guest male reviewer…yes, male. It definitely would not make sense to have me review a product catered to men.

Read on to hear what Crandall, my male guest reviewer has to say about AXE Anti-Dandruff Shampoo!
First off I have to say that having tried axe body spray before , I was a tad put off by the imposing smell.
That said, Axe’s new shampoo line offers a welcoming change to the shampoo market. Axe’s subtle scent is exactly what I have been looking for.
Packaging: One of the immediate features that I absolutely love about the bottle is it’s quick push to open cap. It makes dispensing shampoo quick and easy without having to perform the “shower shuffle.” There seem to be issues about difficulty in dispensing the product over periods of use, but I have yet to encounter this issue. I am assuming that as you get down to the end of the shampoo that it takes a little bit longer to dispense.
Scent: It offers a much more subtle scent that does not overpower as the body spray does. I actually enjoyed using the shampoo since the smell was light with a little edge to it. So axe so far has me hooked on their product!
Purpose: Other than cleaning your hair as most shampoos are designed to do, I believe that the added masculine smell serves as a very meaningful purpose. The smell seems to linger on your pillow in which I would imagine your girlfriend would love to roll over and secretly take a few deep breathes. It definitely smells like an axe product.
While still maintaining the “axe scent,” the shampoo offers a 2 in 1 shampoo and anti-dandruff control for guys that tend to have flaky skin. My hair is naturally flaky and seemed to reduce flakes, much better than head and shoulders shampoo. (I think the active zinc ingredient should be given due credit).
The Bottom Line: I always say that less is more, especially when it comes to a personal level of what you will be spending the most time with. An overpowering smell will be an immediate turnoff, especially when it comes down to where you will be spending 8 hours of your life every day. I would definitely buy this product again.

Thanks for the review! I’ll remember this for my husband… he is so picky about shampoo, even though he has buzzed hair (I don’t understand men?) Good to know your thoughts!

I think the axe bodywashes are actually really great also, like after taking a shower a guy doesn’t even need to use the overpowering body spray anymore. I’m a girl though lol

Bailey – You welcome!
Janice – Honestly, I’m not a fan of AXE’s body spray, the scent is a bit potent for my taste.

I still prefer Head & Shoulders. Can’t beat it for taking care of my hair and scalp.

I use the bodywash because of it’s awesome scents! I love the smell of axe products and would love to use the anti dandruff shampoo, but it doesn’t seem to be strong enough for me. I wish I could though! I use this dandruff shampoo
