LypSyl LypMoisturizer HoneyBerry SPF Review

LypSyl originated in Sweden over 100 years ago.  Formulated with all-natural, purse Swedish beeswax, LySyl products combine natural and therapuetic ingredients like organic Shea butter, coconut oil, Vitamin A and E,and provides unsurpassed moisture and lip protection.  And for you animal lovers, LypSyl does not test on animals.  This relatively uknown lip balm just entered the US market two years ago.

Approx. Price: $2.99

Where to Purchase?
Mass market retailers

The Bottom Line:

I received a sample of LypSyl LypMoisturizer in HoneyBerry for review.  When I found out that its made of beeswax, Burt Bee’s lip balm instantly came into my mind.  However, LypSyl LypMoisturizer does not compare to Burt Bee’s greatness.  What I like about LypSyl LypMoisturizer is that its retractable – and that’s the only thing it has going for it.  LypSyl LypMoisturizer is very similar to Chapstick (which I dislike!).  LypSyl LypMoisturizer’s waxy texture sits on top of my lips and does nothing.  No moisture, just a waxy layer.  Ugh.  Save your $2.99 and get Burt Bee’s lip balm instead.

Determining Your Personal SPF Number

I don’t know about you, but when I shop for sunblock there are just so many SPF choices to choose from.  Should I get SPF 30 or will it be too low? Should I be on the safe side and get SPF 70 or is that too harsh?  So how do you know which SPF number is right for you?

Paula Begoun, author of “Don’t Go to the Cosmetics Counter without Me” shares with us how to determine your own personal SPF Number.

Your ideal SPF number is a multiplication figure based on your skin color and the SPF number on the product.
