When Do You Stop Shopping at the Juniors Section?
Lately, I notice that I am getting more and more picky about my clothing style. I am not quite sure if its a maturity thing or just a phase. Just to give you a little background about me, I am in my late 20s and edging towards the big 30.
Anyways, I just celebrated one of my girlfriends’ birthday (same age as me) this past weekend and we came across an interesting topic…so when exactly do you stop shopping at the Juniors section?
I have been shopping at the following stores: H&M, Forever21, Charlotte Russe, American Eagle, Hollister and Aeropostale – just to name a few. And here is my take on these stores now:
H&M – When this store first launched, I hardly shopped there. Now, I LOVE H&M. I love to go here for dresses and accessories and the fit is perfect!
Forever21 – Lately, I walk out of this store empty handed. I am not sure if it is because the store is so huge, but I don’t find anything in here anymore. Either the fit is off or the quality just isn’t there.
Charlotte Russe – I hardly go clubbing anymore, so I don’t bother coming to this store anymore.
Hollister and Aeropostale – I can no longer shop in there anymore. The last time I was at these stores, I was surrounded by high schoolers. That is one clear sign that I should not be shopping here.
American Eagle – I can’t wear their tops anymore, because it makes me look younger. However, I do like their jeans and Aerie brand for workout attire.
Here is my clothing dilemma: I am quite petite and have a hard time finding clothes to fit me. So far clothing stores that sell clothing in junior sizes fit me best. But isn’t there a time where you shouldn’t be shopping at those stores anymore? Here’s my philosophy: We should shop wherever we want as long as it is age appropriate.
So tell me ladies, do you still shop at the Juniors section?
