bdellium 769 Angled Contour Brush

A couple weeks ago, I attended IMATS LA and picked up bdellium’s 769 Angled Contour Brush.  If you aren’t familiar with bdellium, they are a relatively new cosmetic tools brand.  Surprisingly, their brushes are inexpensive! They range from $3-$10 per brush.  Not only are bdellium brushes inexpensive, but all of their brushes have a anti-bacterial protective coating creates a built-in guard against mold, fungus and bacteria that can gather on brushes.

The Bottom Line:

bdellium’s 769 Angled Contour Brush only cost me $5 and was well worth it!  Not only was this brush cheap, but is of high quality!  This super soft angled brush works great for outer eye eyeshadow application. The 769 Angled Contour Brush is a sharp angled brush for contouring with intense color.  After multiple washings, the brush hair remained in tact - no shedding!  The price point of their brushes are bit higher than Crown Brushes, but the quality is so much better!  Overall, I was impressed with this brush and I am very curious to try out bdellium’s other brushes!

Unfortunately, bdellium tools are only sold online.  For more information, check out their webpage.

Tweezerman Slant Tweezer Review

A ‘Best of Beauty’ winner chosen by Allure editors for 9 years, top makeup artists always recommend the original, award-winning Tweezerman Slant Tweezer for expert brow shaping.  The perfectly aligned, hand-filed tips are slanted to grab every hair, every time with the smoothest, true precision.  Priced at $20, it may be a bit steep for a cosmetic tool, but is it worth it?

Approx. Price: $20

The Bottom Line: Tweezerman’s Slant tweezer is worth it!  While shelling out $20 may be expensive up front, it is well worth the investment.  This tweezer grabs every hair with great precision.  I have fine brow hair and this tweezer removes them in a cinch.  As an added bonus, Tweezerman offers FREE lifetime sharpening!  Therefore, the $20 price tag doesn’t seem so bad, right?

As a budget beauty blogger, I am always on the lookout for less expensive alternatives to luxury beauty products.  Supposedly, Sonia Kashuk Synthetic Flat Blusher Brush is a great dupe for MAC 187 brush.  Beauty bloggers and addicts rave about Sonia Kashuk Synthetic Flat Blusher Brush and I just had to check it out and try it our for myself!

Approx. Price: $15
Where to Purchase? Target

Priced at $15, Sonia Kashuk’s Synthetic Flat Blusher Brush seems like a great alternative to MAC’s famed 187 brush.  Honestly, who wants to pay $42 for MAC’s 187 brush - I sure don’t!  Previously, I’ve tried Crown Brushes’ Duo Fibre brush - failure and Lumiere’s Duo Fiber Optic Brush - success!  Let’s see if my Sonia Kashuk Synthetic Flat Blusher Brush purchase was worth it…
