My favorite go-to shampoo for my colored tresses has always been TiGi Catwalk Fashionista Color Safe Shampoo. According to my hair stylist, it is also a good idea to change your shampoo every couple of months. Taking her advice, I was strolling along the hair care isle at ULTA on Black Friday in search for new haircare products. I had a $5 off $10 or more coupon and decided to pick up Matrix Biolage Color Care Shampoo and Conditioner Gift Set for myself.

Approx Price: Each retail for about $16 each - not exactly cheap!
Product Details:
Color Care Shampoo: A complex with Ginseng and Gingko Biloboa helps moisturize and protect so hair color stays truer, softer, shinier and manageable.
Color Care Conditioner: Nourishes and smoothes the cuticle and intensifies shine with proteins, Sunflower seed, Nettle and Rosemary. UV filters help lock in color.
The Bottom Line:
TiGi Catwalk Fashionista Color Safe Shampoo will remain as my go-to shampoo. I was hoping for great results with this shampoo and conditioner, but sadly, it works just as well as your typical drug store shampoo line. Yes, this shampoo is not cheap. You would think that because it’s a higher end product than let’s say Herbal Essences, it would be better. This was not the case!
FYI, if you’re trying out a new hair care product, you should try it out for at least a couple weeks. Initially, it may be great, but over time it can turn out to be a dud. And that is exactly what happened with my experience with Matrix’s Biolage Color Care Shampoo and Conditioner. The first two weeks of using Matrix Biolage Color Care Shampoo and Conditioner, my hair was definitely softer, manageable and my highlights were brighter. I seriously thought of considering abandoning my TiGi Catwalk Fashionista Shampoo. But the week after, my scalp was dry, irritated and itchy! In addition to that, my hair felt more weighed down and limp. My highlights even started to turn brassy on me. At the $16 price tag, this shampoo and conditioner is not worth it. Matrix Biolage Color Care Shampoo and Conditioner is a dud in my book!
